Match the tooth profile and mounting holes

Show front, rear and side views. Use the selected drawing or an identified unused part to check hole diameters, spacing, seating surfaces and cutting-edge projection.

A worn cutting edge is useful service evidence, but it should not define the original replacement profile.

Use the dimensions to identify the part, then inspect the joint

  1. Clean the seat before fitting. Packed soil or a burr can hold a replacement tooth away from the bearing surface.
  2. Inspect the old pin and hole together. Look for ovality, a bent pin, cracked holder edges or a retaining feature that no longer engages.
  3. Check the assembled fit. Confirm full seating and retention using the selected pin and holder. Reusing the old pin is a separate decision from reusing the holder.

These catalogue dimensions identify the illustrated tooth. The holder and pin drawing supplies the fit tolerances and retention requirements.

Check the holder and the actual retaining parts

Photograph the holder seat and holes, including deformation or wear. Add the pin diameter, working length and retention arrangement from the selected part drawing.

List the required pins and quantities separately, with the selected holder and retention reference.

Make the parts list unambiguous

List WS39 teeth, holders and pins on separate lines, with quantity and drawing reference for each. Add casing diameter, wall thickness and the tooth position on the complete shoe.

Labels such as Standard, R or T should refer to a specific design. State material and hardness requirements separately, including test method and location where applicable.
