Casing shoes
The shoe carries the cutting ring at the casing toe. Its cutting projection, tooth seats and connection to the tube must be reviewed as one assembly.
Connect the cutting edge to the casing system
The casing shoe brings two interfaces together: the connection to the casing above and the cutting arrangement below. The shoe body carries the tooth and holder positions around its lower edge. A correct cutting-tooth reference does not, on its own, identify the shoe connection or complete layout.

Inspect locating surfaces before replacing the cutting edge
For a replacement set, compare hole diameters, centre-to-centre spacing and seating surfaces from identified references. A worn tooth remains useful evidence of service condition, but wear may have changed the profile being measured. Use the agreed drawing or an identified unused part to establish the intended geometry.
At assembly review, connect each holder position to the shoe layout. Check its location, orientation and the cutting edge’s projection against the design. Keep the upper mating geometry in the same inspection file, so acceptance covers the connection and cutting assembly rather than a collection of unrelated parts.
Inspect retained seats and holes for wear or deformation. If the enquiry includes welded holder replacement or shoe-body repair, identify those areas before agreeing the work and apply the specified repair and welding procedure. Check the repaired assembly against the agreed requirements before accepting it.
Make the parts list match the installed set
List teeth, holders and retaining parts separately, with a quantity for each. WS39 and WS46 are distinct references; retain the selected tooth and holder identity throughout the quotation, drawing review and receipt inspection. Include the complete shoe only when it is part of the requested supply.
